2015 Dodge Challenger Hellcat Heading To Dealers
According to Dodge, the Challenger SRT Hellcat is the fastest and most powerful muscle car ever. It has an NHRA-certified quarter mile elapsed time of 11.2 seconds at 125 mph with stock tires. With drag radials, the time to run the quarter mile drops to 10.8 seconds at 126 mph.
The Challenger Hellcat has a base price is $59,995 which includes a gas-guzzler tax of $2,100 for the manual and $1,700 for the automatic. Bragging rights for owning the baddest muscle car on the block come standard.
Few muscle car buyers purchase a muscle car based on mpg ratings. But just in case you’re wondering, the Hellcat gets an EPA highway rating of 22 mpg when coupled to the eight-speed TorqueFlite automatic. Buyers who choose to change their own gears get an EPA highway rating of 21 mpg with the six-speed manual gearbox.
Dodge has clearly thrown down the gauntlet with the Hellcat Challenger. What better way to celebrate your 100th birthday than by unleashing the most powerful muscle car ever.
