Ford and Petty’s Garage To Build Limited Edition Mustang
If you liked the Petty’s Garage Mustang GT at last year’s SEMA, we’ve got good news. Ford and Petty’s Garage have decided to build a limited production run of these flashy fastbacks.
Two versions of the Petty’s Garage Mustang GT will be available later this year. The Stage 1 features unique design cues such as a custom front fascia while the rear features center-exit exhaust and a custom spoiler. The interior will feature uniquely embroidered head rests, floor mats, and will include Richard Petty’s own signature on the dashboard. Under the hood, the 627 horsepower Stage 1 comes with a Ford Racing/Roush supercharger and cold air intake along with a MagnaFlow exhaust system.
Stage 2 versions will feature a Petty’s Garage Wildwood brake upgrade and Petty’s Garage HRE three-piece aluminum wheels. A Petty’s Garage custom paint job, which features Petty Blue on the lower half and Tuxedo Black on the upper, will also have Petty’s iconic number 43 ghost painted into the hood and C-pillar.
If you really want one, you might want to get down to your Ford dealer. Only 100 Stage 1 versions will be built and only 43 Stage 2 versions are planned. The Stage 1 comes in around $62,000 while the Stage 2 will set you back about $92,000.
