If you’re thinking about getting a new Mustang for 2016, this is great news. Keep reading to find out what’s new for 2016.
Hood vent turn signal indicators make a comeback for the 2016 model year. These first appeared in 1967 and will become standard equipment on the GT. Ford states this segment-exclusive feature will serve as an additional “heads-up” for Mustang GT drivers.
The California Special is available for customers interested in the Mustang GT Premium. This package includes 19-inch ebony-painted wheels, hood and side stripes, and black pedestal spoiler. Other features include dark taillamp accents, black mirrors and hood vents, and a tri-bar pony logo on the front grille.
The Pony Package returns for Mustang EcoBoost Premium models. This package features 19-inch aluminum wheels, tri-bar pony logo in the grille, side stripe, and chrome window surround. Availability is scheduled for late 2015.
The Black Accent Package will be available this fall for the Mustang GT fastback and convertible. Features of this package include 19-inch black-painted alloy wheels, black decklid spoiler, dark taillamp treatment, and 5.0 and pony logos dressed in black.
Mustang GT convertible models with manual transmission can be ordered with the Performance Package. Previously available exclusively on the fastback, the package comes with revised suspension, six-piston Brembo front brake calipers, and a larger radiator.
