Ford and Petty’s Garage New Limited Edition Mustangs

Petty’s Garage is at it again. They’ve gone and created three of the rowdiest 2016 Ford Mustangs you’re likely to see anywhere. These limited edition Mustang GTs come modified with a host of features and are built to the specifications of none other than Richard Petty himself.

“I’ve always liked the look of the Mustang, and the 2016 model gives us a great base car to work with,” said Richard Petty. “These new King edition Mustangs are pretty much the way I’d build my own. They are great fun to drive, and have a signature single exhaust.”

These wild horses will come in extremely limited numbers. Petty’s Garage plans to build 243 King models, 43 King Premier, and 14 King Premier convertibles. Want one? Then just head over to your local Ford dealer to place an order. Starting suggested retail prices are $67,495 for the King edition and $90,495 for King Premier.

King Edition models start out as a base Mustang GT. From there, Petty’s Garage adds a Ford Performance supercharger which brings total horsepower up to 670. Additional performance enhancements include custom engine calibration, a cold air intake, and MagnaFlow exhaust. Other features of the King Editions include extreme-duty TrakPak Ford Performance halfshafts, three-way adjustable front and rear sway bars, and a rear axle upgrade.

Exterior features of the King Edition include a custom rear diffuser, rear spoiler, and matte-black Petty’s Garage/HRE staggered wheels. The King Premier edition gets a big brake upgrade kit, custom leather-trimmed interior and Petty’s Garage/BASF custom tri-color stripe package which features Petty blue, red, and white stripes covered in crushed and tumbled glass.

Options for all three limited editions include different wheel bushings to minimize wheel hop, a coil-over racing suspension, and a supercharger upgrade that brings the power up to 727 horsepower.
