2018 Ford Mustang Is Finally Revealed

After months of seeing countless spy photos, the wraps have finally been taken off the 2018 Ford Mustang. The new Mustang features fresh front and rear styling as well as new technological and performance features.

The 2018 Ford Mustang will be available with a 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine or a 5.0-liter V8. Both engines can be equipped with either a six-speed manual or a new 10-speed automatic transmission. According to Ford, the new 10-speed transmission is the best the Mustang has ever offered, with a wide-ratio span and optimized gear spacing. It replaces the outgoing 6-speed automatic and features quicker shift times and can be manually controlled via steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters. The 3.7-liter V6 engine is no longer available.

“The new Mustang is our best ever, based on more than 50 years as one of the iconic sports car in America and now, the world,” said Joe Hinrichs, president of The Americas. “Tapping Mustang’s enormous fan base, we’re bringing the new Mustang straight to the people – and introducing the new car across multiple social media channels, reaching millions.”

The 2018 Ford Mustang features plenty of new technology. For starters, there’s an available 12-inch LCD screen in the dashboard and there’s also a brand new customizable instrument cluster with three distinctive views. And get this, even the exhaust tone is customizable on the GT thanks to an available active valve exhaust system. FordSYNC Connect with FordPass will also be available for the first time in a Mustang.

Look for the new Mustang to hit dealer showrooms this fall.
