2018 Ford Mustang Convertible Drops Its Top
The new 2018 Mustang convertible will be available in three new colors as well as 12 different wheel configurations. Customization is what sets this new Mustang apart from the herd of available sports cars. Drivers can set custom settings for the all-digital instrument cluster and take advantage of several new technological features. For example, MyMode is a feature which remembers driving preferences for the next time the driver climbs behind the wheel.
The 2018 Ford Mustang convertible will be available with a 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine or a 5.0-liter V8. Both engines can be equipped with either a six-speed manual or a new 10-speed automatic transmission. According to Ford, the new 10-speed transmission is the best the Mustang has ever offered, with a wide-ratio span and optimized gear spacing. It replaces the outgoing 6-speed automatic and features quicker shift times and can be manually controlled via steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters. The 3.7-liter V6 engine is no longer available.
Look for the new Mustang convertible to hit dealer showrooms this fall.
