2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 Sets New Record at Virginia International Raceway

It’s no surprise the new 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 set a production-car record lapping around the Grand Course West track at the Virginia International Raceway. After all, it is the most powerful and fastest Corvette ever created. The ZL1 was able to sprint around the 4.1-mile track in 2:37.25.

Even better news is this was done with a stock ZL1 with the eight-speed automatic and available ZTK Performance package. This record was set during validation testing last month at the track.

“The Corvette ZR1’s lap record at VIR, arguably America’s most challenging road course, is a testament to its supercar status,” said Mark Reuss, executive vice president, Global Product Development, Purchasing and Supply Chain. “On the racetrack, the ZR1 can compete with any supercar — at any price.”

The 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZL1 goes on sale this spring. SRP is $119,995 and the ZTK Performance Package will tack on an additional $2,995.
