1971 Pontiac GTO Judge Pilot Car – 2018 Mecum Indianapolis Auction

The first known 1971 Pontiac GTO Judge hardtop will cross the auction block during the 2018 Mecum Indianapolis auction. This beauty is one of the many cars offered for auction by the Surf City Garage Collection.

This GTO comes complete with its original Cardinal Red paint and black interior. Under the hood sleeps the 455 HO V8 that came with the car when it rolled down the assembly line. According to the auction listing, the engine has not been started in almost 20 years. It’s been on static display and not driven for almost two decades.

Inside, the GTO you’ll find a Hurst T-handle shifter, rally instruments, and an AM radio with 8-track player.

This 1971 Pontiac GTO Judge pilot car will be offered at no reserve. The 2018 Mecum Indianapolis auction will run May 15th through May 19th. For more information, check out mecum.com.
