The 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 has been chosen as the official pace car for the 2018 Indianapolis 500. This is the fifteenth time the Corvette has been chosen to pace the prestigious race.

The Corvette has paced the race more than any other car. It’s hard to believe that 40 years ago, the first Corvette paced the race for the 62^nd running of the famous race. That black and silver C3 is still highly collectable among Corvette aficionados.

“Chevrolet is proud to once again pace the Indianapolis 500,” said Steve Majoros, marketing director for Cars and Crossovers. “The ZR1 is the most powerful and fastest Corvette ever made. It’s the perfect choice to pace ‘The Greatest Spectacle in Racing.’”
