2020 Chevrolet Camaro Changes Announced
The 2020 Camaro SS gets a restyled front-end courtesy of the Camaro Shock show car from last year’s SEMA show. The SS will feature a relocated bowtie emblem in the upper grille and a body-color bar between the upper and lower grille areas.
“Customers spoke, and we listened,” said Steve Majoros, director of Chevrolet passenger car and crossover marketing. “The overwhelmingly positive reaction to the Shock’s stylized design helped prompt its transition from concept to production.”
A new LT1 model blends elements of the Camaro 1LT and SS and is available as a coupe or convertible. A choice of six-speed manual gearbox or 10-speed automatic transmission will be available. The LT1 features LT styling with the SS’s vented hood, LT1 fender badging and black bowtie emblems, and 20 x 8.5-inch wheels with all-season tires.
“The new Camaro LT1 is a great choice for those seeking a pure V-8 performance experience,” said Majoros. “And at less than $35,000, it will be one of the most affordable V-8 performers on the market.”
Chevrolet is also offering a 10-speed automatic transmission specifically adapted for the 3.6-liter V6 in the LT.
Availability for the 2020 Chevrolet Camaro should be available early fall.
