1967 Shelby GT500 – 2019 Mecum Denver Auction

1967 saw the introduction of the Shelby GT500. This street fighter came equipped with a 428 cubic-inch V8 with 355 horsepower that Carroll Shelby claimed was "docile in normal traffic.”

Crossing the auction block at the 2019 Mecum Denver auction is this Nightmist Blue coupe with only 24,000 original miles. It still retains its matching numbers engine with restored original Holley 600-cfm carburetors and matching numbers Select-O-Matic transmission. This car is also equipped with power steering and power brakes with front discs. It also comes with its original Magstar wheels, keys, and owner’s manual.

Just over 2,000 Shelby GT500s were produced for the 1967 model year. Shelby 00410 will be up for bids on July 13th during Mecum’s 2019 Denver auction.
