The Mopar ’19 Challenger Celebrates a Decade of Mopar Special Editions
The Mopar ’19 Dodge Challenger will be available in Pitch Black or White Knuckle and features special graphics, a shaker hood scoop, and distinct interior appointments. In addition, each Mopar ’19 will come with an owner’s kit that includes a certificate with the car’s build date and build number, a full-color Mopar ’19 booklet, and a souvenir with engraved car number and Mopar ’19 portrait designed by the Mopar design team.
“Over the last decade, we’ve customized an impressive group of vehicles with exclusive Mopar performance parts and accessories that our enthusiast customers crave,” said Mark Bosanac, Head of Mopar Service, Parts & Customer Care, FCA – North America. “This year we’re commemorating our tenth Mopar build with another unique and collectible Dodge Challenger, which continues to be the modern muscle car every bit as beloved today as the first generation vehicle was 50 years ago.”
Based on the R/T Scat Pack, the Mopar ’19 Challenger brandishes a unique stripe pattern that runs from the front fascia to the rear spoiler. The shaker hood scoop mimics the ones featured on the early 1970s HEMI cars. Hood pins also add to the retro look of the Mopar ’19 Challenger. Rounding out the package are 20-inch x 9-inch aluminum wheels with Goodyear P245/45ZR20 performance tires.
Inside the Mopar ’19 Challenger, drivers will find cloth seats with a two-tone Mopar logo, a special instrument panel badge on the passenger-side air vent, and Berber floor mats and door-sill guards with the Challenger logo.
Under the hood lurks a 392 cubic-inch HEMI engine with 485 horsepower and 475 lb.-ft. of torque. A six-speed manual transmission is standard issue. A TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission is extra cost.
MSRP starts at $45,835 with dealer ordering opening in September. Cars should arrive on dealer lots sometime in the fourth quarter.
