Hertz and Hendrick Motorsports Create Custom Camaro SS and ZL1

Hertz Car Rental and Hendrick Motorsports have joined forces to create the 2020 Hertz-Hendrick Motorsports Camaro ZL1 and SS. These exclusive limited-edition Camaros will be available at select Hertz airport locations this fall.

In mid-October, 224 of these special edition Chevrolet Camaros will be available at Hertz airport locations in Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, Phoenix, San Diego, San Francisco, Nashville, and Charlotte. These Camaros come dressed in the familiar Hertz black paint with yellow striping. These special editions also feature custom wheels and brake calipers, Hertz lighted door sill plates, and embroidered headrests with the number 24 logo and William Byron’s signature.

“We have a tremendous partnership with Hertz,” Hendrick Motorsports owner Rick Hendrick said. “Cars are my passion, so seeing this program come together is especially exciting for me. We’ve never undertaken a project like this in the history of our team. These custom Camaros are going to be a huge hit with car enthusiasts and customers who are looking for a special experience. Hertz has truly taken this to the next level.”

The Hertz-Hendrick Motorsports Camaro ZL1 comes equipped with a 6.2-liter V8 spewing 750 horsepower and features a Callaway Supercharger. The Hertz-Hendrick Motorsports Camaro SS is outfitted with a 6.2-liter V8 cranking out 480 horsepower and comes with a Chevrolet cold air intake and Chevrolet cat-back dual exhaust upgrade system.

Like what you see? If so, you have an opportunity to win your own Hertz-Hendrick Motorsports Camaro SS. Just go to and enter to win. Five finalists will win a package that includes a driving experience at Charlotte Motor Speedway with William Byron, a private tour of Hendrick Motorsports, passes to the NASCAR Hall of Fame, and lunch with Byron and his crew. Each finalist will receive a key that could start the Camaro SS. Only one will get to drive home this one-of-a-kind Camaro.

“As a race car driver, I have a huge appreciation for performance vehicles,” Byron said. “The fact that Hertz is offering cars of this caliber to its customers is really amazing. After personally driving one of the custom Camaros, it’s as close as you can get to an actual race car out on the road. Hertz and Hendrick Motorsports have outdone themselves.”
