1971 Dodge Challenger R/T Hemi – 2019 Mecum Las Vegas Auction

The year 1971 spelled the end of many things. Cigarette advertising was banned by Congress, Joe Frazier ends Muhammad Ali’s 31-fight victory run, and the Globetrotters lose by a point to the New Jersey Reds. 1971 was also the last year for the mighty 426 Hemi engine.

This 1971 Dodge Challenger R/T will cross the block during Mecum’s 2019 Las Vegas auction. This beauty features its original black paint and also sports an original black interior. And of course, a 425 horsepower Hemi engine lurks underneath the hood of this beast. And just as great, it’s coupled to an A833 four-speed manual transmission. And the hits keep coming with power steering and power front disc brakes. The car also comes with an original broadcast sheet to back up its awesomeness.

The 2019 Mecum Las Vegas auction starts on October 10th. Find out about this and other great cars at the auction by visiting mecum.com.

Update: Bidding reached $550,000, but didn’t sell.
