Hennessey Performance Engineering Introduces the HPE1200 Twin Turbo C8 Corvette

The new 2020 Chevrolet Corvette hasn’t hit the streets and Hennessey Performance Engineering has already crafted significant performance upgrades for the C8 Corvette. And from what we’ve seen so far, HPE has big plans for the next Corvette.

Part of HPE’s magic includes a specially designed twin turbo system for the LT2 V8 which includes improved forged aluminum pistons and forged steel connection rods. Improvements such as these will give the new Corvette a whopping 1,200 horsepower. The HPE1200 Twin Turbo Corvette will also utilize an upgraded dual clutch transmission.

“We expect the new C8 Corvette to be an excellent platform from which our clients can further personalize their cars, which obviously includes adding more power and performance,” said company founder and chief horsepower evangelist, John Hennessey. “Over the past several months we have had hundreds of inquiries from C8 buyers wanting to know what we will be offering for the new Corvette. Thus, we created an online questionnaire and have received over 250 completed forms and getting more every day. The customers are telling us what they want and big surprise – they want more power!”

Hennessey also plans to make available its signature CarbonAero carbon fiber body upgrades that include a front splitter and airdam and rear carbon fiber wing. Other performance upgrades include a Brembo braking system, an adjustable Penske suspension, and wheel and tire enhancements. And if that wasn’t enough, the company plans to offer an upgraded exhaust system and a supercharger upgrade for up to 700 horsepower once computer tuning becomes available for the LT2.

Those interested in the Hennessey upgrades for the upcoming C8 Corvette can fill out the questionnaire at hennesseyperformance.com/vehicles/chevrolet-2/corvette/c8.
