The Ford GT gets two new appearance packages for the 2020 model year. The Liquid Carbon and updated Gulf Livery packages are just part of what’s new for the 2020 Ford GT.

The Liquid Carbon package emphasizes the Ford GT’s carbon fiber body without any type of paint applied to the body panels. Ford also applies a special clearcoat that highlights the GT’s carbon fiber weave. Word on the street is this package will cost around $750.000.

“This next chapter in the Ford GT story allows us to fully demonstrate our mastery in both the art and science of carbon fiber craftsmanship and finishing,” said Angus Smith, General Manager of Multimatic Niche Vehicles, North America. “The results of this ongoing partnership between Multimatic and Ford Performance speak for themselves, as each visually stunning and unique Liquid Carbon GT is a manufacturing marvel, showcasing the characteristics and nuances inherent in carbon fiber composites.”

Carbon fiber wheels are also standard with the package. Buyers also have two stripe options. They can choose between the dual center stripes like those available on the standard Ford GT or the single stripe that’s part of the Carbon Series.

Ford Performance has also made changes to the Gulf Racing Heritage Livery package. These changes include a black pinstripe that divides the blue and orange colors, reminiscent of the 1968-1969 LeMans winning GT. For 2020, the optional carbon fiber number changes over to the number 6, which was the number of the consecutive winning racecar. Buyers can also choose between aluminum alloy or carbon fiber wheels.

“Our team is very focused on delivering a car that exceeds customer expectations,” said Mike Severson, Ford GT program manager. “The black pinstripe and carbon fiber wheels have been highly requested with the Gulf livery, so we committed to making that happen.”
