The 2020 Shelby F-150 Super Snake Sport Is Coiled and Ready to Strike
There was a time when performance pickups were quite commonplace. In the early 1990s, the Ford F-150 Lightning, Chevrolet 454 SS, and GMC Syclone gave your Chevy Camaro IROC-Z and Mustang GT a run for their money. The 2000s ushered in a new crop of hot rod trucks, including the Chevrolet Silverado SS and the Dodge Ram 1500 SRT-10. However, by the mid-2000s, the genre had practically disappeared.
Today, if you want a performance-oriented hauler, you might want to check out the 2020 Shelby F-150 Super Snake Sport. This brawler is unmistakable with its dual intake Super Snake hood, custom front bumper and hood, dual striping, and Shelby badging. 22-inch aluminum wheels with speed rated high performance tires, a Shelby by Baer brake system, and a Shelby suspension round out just a few of the standard goodies of this sport truck.
Inside, drivers are greeted by leather seats with Suedezkin inserts, Billet racing pedals, and faux carbon fiber accents. This is definitely not your typical, everyday F-150!
The 2020 Shelby F-150 Super Snake Sport features a standard 395 horsepower naturally aspirated V8. If that’s not enough gusto for you, there’s an optional 770 horsepower supercharged V8 just waiting to be checked off on the option sheet.
To say the Shelby F-150 Super Snake Sport is fast is an understatement. The truck can sprint from 0 to 60 in 3.45 seconds and go from 0 to 100 to 0 in 8.3 seconds with the supercharged engine.
Pricing starts at $86,085 for the naturally aspirated V8 and $93,385 for the supercharged version. Only 250 of these sport trucks will be built.
