Shelby Blows Its Top With the 2021 Shelby Super Snake Speedster

Shelby announces the 2021 Shelby Super Snake Speedster. This new addition to the Shelby family of performance cars transforms the Super Snake into a two-seater with aggressive styling and plenty of power under the hood.

The Shelby Super Snake Speedster is unmistakable with its Shelby engineered grille, front fascia, and front splitter. 20-inch forged aluminum wheels, Shelby performance spec tires, and Ford performance wheel studs round out the package. An optional convertible tonneau and painted stripes are available to be checked off on the option sheet.

Under the hood lies a 5.0-liter V8 with an available supercharger that produces 825 horsepower. This powerhouse will be available with a manual or an automatic transmission.

This speedster will be produced in extremely limited numbers. Only 98 Super Snake Speedsters will be crafted by Shelby. Why just 98? Well, 2021 would have been Carroll Shelby’s 98th birthday. Each speedster will receive a CSM number that will be included in the Official Shelby Registry. Talk about an instant collectible.

“The new Speedster is stunning,” said Gary Patterson, president of Shelby American. “From a styling perspective, there is simply nothing like it on the road. With the widebody option, it’s a rare combination of sleek elegance and American muscle machismo. This is the automotive equivalent of a powerful heavyweight boxer fitted into a stylish, fine suit. And with only 98 available in the US, it will be ultra-rare.”

This exclusivity does not come cheap. Starting price of the new Super Snake Speedster starts at $133,785. The Shelby Super Snake is available through select Ford and Tuscany dealers across the U.S.
