The original Shelby GT500 made its debut way back in 1967. To commemorate the 55^th anniversary of the Shelby GT500, Ford will produce a limited number of the 2022 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Heritage Editions.

Each of these limited editions will be painted in Brittany Blue with two different Wimbledon White exterior striping options. Drivers can choose between a painted racing stripe with GT500 logo (also available in black) or a vinyl racing stripe with exclusive vinyl side stripe featuring GT500 logo.

Dealer orders for the 2022 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Heritage Edition open on Monday, November 15, with vehicles on sale in the spring of 2022.

Starting MSRP of the 2022 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 is $72,900, with a destination charge of $1,195 and $2,600 Gas Guzzler Tax. If you opt for the hand-painted stripe option, get ready to shell out an additional $12,140.
