The Wait Is Over: Here’s The 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06

After a two year wait, the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 made its official debut this week. The Z06 made history 60 years ago and this legendary nameplate has been synonymous with racing ever since.

The 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06’s track-centric elements include a unique front fascia created to enhance cooling, a rear reconfigurable spoiler with adjustable wickerbill elements fashioned to boost high-speed stability and cornering, and 20-inch front and 21-inch rear forged aluminum wheels.

Under the hood lurks a naturally-aspirated 5.5-liter LT6 V8 spewing 670 horsepower and 460 lb.-ft. of torque. This engine is hand crafted by artisans at the Performance Build Center at the Bowling Green Assembly Plant. This powerplant features all-new internals such as an aluminum cylinder block casting, dual-overhead-camshaft, split intake manifold, and six-stage dry-sump oiling system. Each engine also features an intake manifold plaque with the signature of the specialist who built the engine.

The 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06’s racing heritage shines with a design to dominate the track. Styling cues such as wider fenders to house larger wheels and tires, larger vents to feed fresh air into a center heat exchanger, and an elevated cockpit surrounding the driver. An available Z07 Performance Package includes a carbon fiber aero package, FE7 suspension, Michelin Sport Cup 2 R ZP tires, and Brembo carbon ceramic brakes.

The 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 grants the driver a plethora of personalization options. Amenities include:

  • Twelve exterior colors
  • Seven available wheel packages
  • Seven interior colors
  • Three seat options and six seatbelt selections
  • Two interior carbon fiber trim packages
  • Six brake caliper colors.

Even more personalization options spill over into the cabin. The new Corvette Z06’s interior can be furnished with an available carbon fiber steering wheel, shift paddles, and new carbon fiber trim package level 2.

“Corvette has always brought a discerning customer to the Chevy family,” said Steve Hill, vice president of Chevrolet. “This new Z06 was designed and engineered to set a higher bar with increased levels of craftsmanship, personalization and performance so customers can truly have their own bespoke performance car.”

Availability is scheduled for the summer of 2022.
