It may have been a late comer to the pony car party, but maybe Dodge saved the best for last. 2020 will see the Dodge Challenger celebrate its 50^th birthday. And Dodge plans to commemorate the occasion by introducing the Dodge Challenger 50^th Anniversary Edition. This limited-edition package will be available on the Challenger GT RWD, R/T Shaker, R/T Scat Pack Shaker and R/T Scat Pack Shaker Widebody models. In addition, all models of the 2020 Challenger SRT Hellcat and SRT Hellcat Redeye will adorn 50^th Anniversary badging.

“2020 marks the 50th Anniversary of the Dodge Challenger, one of the most storied muscle cars in history,” said Tim Kuniskis, Global Head of Alfa Romeo and Head of Passenger Cars – Dodge, SRT, Chrysler and FIAT, FCA – North America. “That history was built on a few key things: big attitude and big muscle, loud colors and loud exhausts, and an enthusiast community that is as unique and diverse as our special editions. So, to commemorate the 50th, we’re celebrating with a cool new special edition that checks all of these boxes.”

Dealer ordering will commence in December. Availability is expected early next spring. Below is a pricing breakdown for the 2020 Dodge Challenger 50^th Anniversary Edition option:

Challenger GT RWD: $4,995

Challenger R/T Shaker: $5,495

Challenger R/T Scat Pack Shaker: $5,995

Challenger R/T Scat Pack Shaker: $9,995

Styling cues for this special edition Challenger include a satin black hood with a black-wrapped roof and decklid. Also included are 50^th Anniversary badging on the grille and spoiler in a “Gold School” color and a satin-black fuel-filler door with “FUEL” lettering. Special “Gold School” wheels are also part of the package.

The interior features black, heated, and ventilated Nappa leather and Alcantara suede seats with embroidered “50” logo, Berber floor mats with “50” logo, and Sepia accent stitching throughout the cabin. The passenger-side IP badge includes a 50^th anniversary logo.

To honor the Challenger’s golden anniversary, Dodge introduces an all-new color 50^th Anniversary color called Gold Rush. It joins the other 50^th Anniversary colors of Frostbite, Hellraisin, Sinamon Stick, Torred, F8 Green, and Go Mango.

Dealer ordering will commence in December. Availability of the 50^th Anniversary Challenger is expected early next spring.
